A rich land… of activities

From Grandcamp-Maisy, embark on a big game fishing trip. You can also take a breath of fresh air while sailing off the Saint Marcouf Islands, or discover the Pointe du Hoc (seen from the sea). Vintage sailings departing from the port of Carentan, aboard the Vedette “Belle de Carentan”, a replica of a German torpedo boat from the Second World War, are also offered.

Our fine sandy beaches

Colleville-sur-Meris in the heart of the dunes, in a green setting. Omaha Beach extends over 6 km of golden sandy beach. It is an ideal beach for sand yachting, kite flying and other sports activities. Swimming is just as much fun!

Saint-Laurent-sur-Mer is a very lively beach. Many locals and tourists come to play beach games and go swimming.

Vierville-sur-Mer, more family oriented, is perfect for lazing around, swimming and playing with children, with its small ponds naturally heated by the sun. Along its cliffs, you can also practice fishing on foot.

Grandcamp-Maisy is now home to a fishing port, a marina and a beach, part of which is still accessible, even at high tide. It is a place that also has the privilege of being a great spot for fishing, which is a good way to occupy the children!

Hiking tours

Discover the charm of the landscapes and the heritage of our territory during convivial hikes often gathering a hundred of hikers. The walk, of about 8 km, is free and organized by the tourist office of Isigny-Omaha, supervised by an animator.

You can also follow the hiking trails on your own thanks to the Isigny-Omaha tourist office’s topofiches, which can be downloaded free of charge or sold at the office. The tourist office of Isigny-sur-Mer also proposes you to discover the natural reserve of Cerisy during great commented walks on various very natural themes.

Horse and carriage rides

The Tourist Office of Isigny-Omaha organizes accompanied carriage rides. Several themes and departure points are proposed such as: “Between land and sea at the rhythm of horses”, “The beautiful houses of the Aure marshes at the rhythm of horses”, “The oyster beds of the Bay of Veys”, “Marshes and delicacies at the rhythm of horses” “In the footsteps of the potters” “Omaha Beach, from the good old days to 1944” “Marshes and patrimony at the rhythm of horses” and “Let’s go for a walk in the woods”.

Whether you are a beginner or an experienced rider, the equestrian centers will offer you an initiation, a course, an accompanied ride on the beach or on the hiking trails, depending on your level and your desire!

Bicycle or mountain bike rides

Along the coastline, through the marshes or in the heart of the forest, ride a bicycleor a ATVto discover at your own pace the postcard landscapes of our region ! Whether it’s for a day or just a few hours, you can choose the bike rental formula that suits you best. For the little ones, baby seats and a towed trailer are also available.

Kayaking and other sports

Discover the richness of the marsh ecosystem in a friendly atmosphere and in an original way. This kayak trip on the marshes of the Elle is accessible to beginners. Kayak trips from Trévières are also offered by Eolia Normandie. The Tourist Office and the sailing school of Grandcamp-Maisy also organize sea trips on kayaks to discover the Pointe du Hoc from the sea.
