Pointe du Hoc and its bunkers
15 km from our campsite, along the coast, don’t miss a stop at the Pointe du Hoc. From the top of this small cape, we can see that the site still bears the scars of the numerous bombings, where 225 Rangers stormed the 30 meters of cliff overlooking it. Today, this place shows what a German coastal artillery battery was with its fire direction post, its bunkers, its shelters.
It is also possible to visit some bunkers on request, in particular the bunkers of Géfosse-Fontenay at less than 10 km from Isigny.
